Cherry wishes MOMS-I.N.C. had

been available  when she

was raising her sons!

The MOMS-I.N.C. team:

Cherry

Cherry is a registered nurse with 35 years experience. She graduated from Charity Hospital School of Nursing in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1972 and earned a BSN from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay in 2002 and a Master of Science in Nursing degree at the University of Phoenix in Largo, Florida in 2006.  Her major areas of practice have been intensive care nursing, nursing management, home health care, health care education, and Holistic Nursing consulting and wellness education. Cherry is Board Certified as an Advanced Holistic Nurse. Cherry currently works as a Clinical Supervisor for the University of North Carolina Home Health agency and offers holistic nursing modalities, and wellness education as a private consultant.

Cherry believes that the mind, body, and spirit must be in balance to achieve wellness. Cherry has studied numerous mind, body, spirit healing modalities, and integrates them into her Nursing practice whenever possible. Cherry first became interested in nutrition and healing while working in the Burn Intensive Care unit. That interest increased when she worked with clients experiencing cancer, and she continues to study nutrition so she can teach others to design nutritional plans that promote wellness and healing. Cherry believes “we are what we eat”!

Cherry is married to Jim, also a registered nurse, and they have two sons, ages 35 and 20, and a granddaughter who is 15. Cherry taught both boys to eat fresh whole foods as children and with the exception of a few bad years in high school, they eat healthy, balanced diets today. She wishes MOMS-I.N.C. had been available when she was raising them!
